I hope you have been enjoying your time on Super Smash Bros for 3DS. If you still don’t own it, hurry and go get it. This is definitely a must have for your 3DS. Heck, I would even advise you to buy a 3DS to play this game, among other excellent titles!
So, I thought I might share some tips and tricks, if you want to enjoy this amazing game even more.
HOW TO UNLOCK THE HIDDEN CHARACTERS
There are 12 hidden characters in total. You need to play and meet some required conditions to unlock them. Thankfully, you do not have to play a lot to get everyone. Also, you can unlock each one of the characters by 2 ways: either play a set number of Smash matches or beat Classic Mode in a specific way/collect certain items.
After meeting one requirement or the other, you will have to fight the character in their respective stage. You need to beat them (1-life stock match) if you want to unlock them. If you lose, don’t worry. You will get another chance and fight them after another Smash match.

- Put one CPU character against you and set its difficulty level to 1
- Launch the match
- Right at the start of the match, kill yourself by dropping down the stage
